Tuckbox respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose your personal information, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
In this Policy, "Tuckbox", "we", "us" or "our" means TUCKBOX DESIGN PTY. LTD. ABN 45 162 121 888, trading as Tuckbox, of 2/87 Merola Way, Campbellfield, Victoria.
By using our website, our flatpack portal (tuckboxtrade.com.au), or our services, you agree to the handling of your personal information as described in this Policy.
1. What information we collect
We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to quote for, provide and improve our goods and services. This may include:
- your name, business name, email address, phone number and postal or delivery address;
- project details you provide, such as measurements, drawings, specifications, material and finish selections, and site information;
- account and order details when you use our flatpack portal;
- payment-related information (see clause 3);
- records of your enquiries, quotes, orders and our communications with you.
We generally collect only the information we need. You do not have to provide your personal information, but if you don't, we may not be able to quote for or provide our goods and services.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal information:
- directly from you — when you contact us, request a quote, place an order, create a portal account, or deal with us in person, by phone or by email;
- through our website and portal — including through forms you complete;
- automatically — through cookies and analytics tools that record website usage (see clause 6); and
- occasionally from third parties, such as builders, designers or others involved in your project, where relevant to the work.
3. Payments
Card payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card details on our systems. Your use of the payment provider is subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries and prepare quotes;
- process, manufacture and fulfil your orders;
- arrange delivery, collection, assembly and installation;
- manage payments and accounts;
- provide customer support and handle warranty or service issues;
- meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations; and
- with your consent, send you updates about our products and services. You can opt out of marketing at any time (see clause 9).
5. When we disclose your information
We may disclose personal information to:
- our staff and contractors who help deliver our goods and services (for example, installers or delivery providers);
- our suppliers, where needed to fulfil your order;
- service providers who support our business, such as our website and portal hosts, payment provider, and IT and accounting providers; and
- others where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information. We take reasonable steps to ensure anyone we share information with protects it appropriately.
Some of our service providers may store data on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

Our website and portal may use cookies and similar technologies to help the site function, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, though some features may not work as intended.
7. How we store and protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We retain personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law, after which we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details in clause 11. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.
9. Opting out of marketing
If you no longer wish to receive marketing communications from us, you can opt out by using the unsubscribe option in the message or by contacting us directly.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us using the details in clause 11 so we can look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
